Remembering Steve MacKay

"A2 Music History" on Facebook just posted a celebration of sax player and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Steve Mackay. Steve was one of Sally's Ann Arbor pals who moved to the California Bay Area. He contributed to the musical interlude on her film "Teenage Assassin." Steve supplemented the erratic career of a musician by working as an electrician, and he helped move San Fracisco Hat into its San Leandro factory and did some electrical work to better light the work areas. When we called him to schedule another round of work, he answered his phone on a bus, back on tour with Iggy Pop and the Stooges.
