Orvis was a long time purveyor of San Francisco Hat Company designs, starting with roll up panamas, which they sold by mail order and in their stores across the US and England, then fleece, cotton caps, Riverz hats and the Joe Fedora they called the Packable Fedora. This 09EK Packable Fedora and the Riverz Scout they named the Lochsa were hugely popular and had many ardent fans. We private labelled the hats with the Orivs label and attached the San Francisco Hat Company hangtags.

Now that Orivs is no longer carrying these styles, we get contacted by folks eager to replace their hats, but stalled by the Orivs label. We hear story after story about their glee at finding us, sometimes after months and years of searching -- perhaps clean a desk drawer and find the hang tags, perhaps stumble across a photo of the Riverz Scout. We are delighted to learn of their love of the hats and wonder how many other fans have not been successful at finding us to replace a beloved hat.
